Hi, I’m Lauren! I first started The Foodie Runner back in October of 2013 as a way to document my training for the Boston Marathon. It has since evolved 

About Me

I’m a wife, mother, coach and elite runner rabbitELITE and 361*

My two biggest passions in life are running and motherhood – I strive to be an example to other women that they don’t have to give up their running (or general fitness) goals once they become mothers. Personally, I have run personal bests in the 10K, half marathon and marathon since the birth of my daughter so I know first hand that it is possible to be #fasterafterbaby!

 

Last December I ran my fourth marathon, the California International Marathon, and ran a 22 minute PR and qualified for the Olympic Trials Marathon with a 2:44:16! I put in a lot of hard work to get here and I’m looking forward to working even harder over the next 2 years so that I can crush it at the Trials in 2020!

 

I am currently pregnant with our second daughter, due in January 2019 and then it’ll be time to do the whole postpartum comeback all over again. This time ever stronger and faster!

 

When I’m not at my coaching job or pounding it out on the pavement you can find me spending as much time as possible with my crew. Oh I love them so much!

About My Family

Family means everything to me and I am blessed with an amazing husband and two adorable daughters, Lavinia and Marigold. They are my biggest cheerleaders and my biggest inspiration in everything that I do!
