A Weekend Full of Olympics

Happy Monday! Did you find yourself parked in front of the TV watching the Olympics as much as we did this weekend? Henri and I are LOVING the Gold Zone that they introduced this time around. You don’t miss any of the action – so fun!

Liv even joined in on the Olympic fun with an adorable patriotic outfit. Cutest story ever behind her ensemble… Henri called me Friday as he was leaving work and asked if she had anything red, white and blue to wear and when I said no he stopped on the way home to buy her this! All the heart eyes in the world for that hubby of mine… he is such a sweet daddy to our little girl!

While most of our weekend was spent on our couch we did manage to get out a bit. Lavinia and I went for our longest walk together on Sunday – 3 miles (woot woot!), and we went on a family outing to do some shopping at Nordstrom rack and to get ice cream because MAN it’s been hot here!

Nothing like an ice cream cone with a sweet side of sleeping baby on a summer afternoon!

Well, that’s pretty much our entire weekend in a nutshell #newbornlife but I did want to share some interesting Olympic related reads that I saw floating around the internet this weekend. <– I told you, we’re obsessed! šŸ˜‰

The first gold medal at the Olympics was won by a 19-year old American girl!

Henri and I were going crazy during Katie Ledecky’s 400m freestyle win! She broke her own world record by 2 seconds – so legit!

Just one more reason I LOVE Alyson Felix

This article provided an interesting insight into Michael Phelps’s life outside of athletics. I never knew all of the things he was dealing with besides swimming!

The refugee athlete team is bringing a lot of awareness to the reality that many people around the world are living through and this feel good story about the gal that won her heat in the 100m butterfly this weekend .

Henri and I especially loved this list of married couples competing at the games this year. The Eatons are far and away my favorite, seriously one of the cutest track couples ever!
