Baby Floris: 13 Weeks
Henri and I got some really exciting news last week –> at our appointment on Thursday my midwife moved our due date up to July 23rd!! First trimesters are the most accurate for dating purposes and at our 9 week ultrasound Baby Floris was measuring 6 days ahead so we got moved up. 🙂 I’m psyched!
Here’s what else Baby Floris and I were up to this week….
WHAT’S BABY FLORIS UP TO?
According to The Bump, Baby Floris is about the size of a peach!
He/she is about 2.9 inches long and weighs approximately .81 oz.
He/she is forming vocal cords and teeth, already has fingerprints, and their intestines are moving from the umbilical cord to their tummy.
WEIGHT GAINED
As of my appointment last Thursday I’m up 4 pounds.
WORKOUTS
My workouts this week felt really great. I was most excited about my first “real” long run since finding out I was pregnant – 10 miles!!! You can read my full training summary here.
SYMPTOMS
For the most part my nausea has subsided but I did get sick once this week which was the first time in over a month! Other symptoms include: being tired all the time, difficulty waking up in the morning, and feeling thirsty all day long!
MOVEMENT
It’s still early, but I really can’t wait for this!
FOOD AVERSIONS
Mostly sweet things, it’s crazy to me that ice cream just doesn’t sound good!
FOOD CRAVINGS
My cravings are all over the place, this week it was sushi, granola with strawberries and bananas, and
SLEEP
Pretty good, I feel so lucky that I don’t have to work until 2:30 so I can sleep as long as I need. I do wake up a few times a night to pee and spend a lot of time tossing and turning but according to my FitBit I’ve hit my sleeping goal a few times this week!
MATERNITY CLOTHES
Nope!
STRETCH MARKS
None yet, but my belly hasn’t grown much so I’m sure they’ll come in due time.
MISS ANYTHING?
Nothing, except for Henri. 🙂
BELLY BUTTON IN OR OUT?
I’ve always had an innie/outie belly button and it’s pretty much still the same right now.
BABY ITEMS PURCHASED
Yes! A few “accidental” baby purchases. Henri and I are in the market for a new couch so after church yesterday I spent some time wandering around TJ Maxx. I didn’t find a couch but I did leave with two baby books and a frame for our first ultrasound picture.
GENDER SUSPICIONS
I’m still on team boy – 5-7 more weeks until we can find out! 😀
FAVORITE MOMENT OF THE WEEK
Hands down, my favorite moment of the week was hearing Baby’s strong heartbeat at our midwife appointment on Thursday. I play back the video that Henri took at least 10 times a day and every time it gives me the biggest smile!
LOOKING FORWARD TO
I’m really excited to watch my bump grow. It’s fun that it’s popping up now from time to time but I’m looking forward to when it sticks around for good and I look obviously pregnant and not just “fluffy” haha.
