Baby Floris: Week 19

Happy Monday Y’all!

So, who watched the Oscars last night? I can’t believe that Leo finally won his Oscar and am super bummed that Saoirse Ronan didn’t win best actress because I absolutely loved Brooklyn.

This weekend was also exciting because Lavinia and I hit 19 weeks on Saturday – almost halfway there!! Here’s what we’ve been up to the past week. πŸ˜€

Baby Floris - Week 19

WHAT’S BABY FLORIS UP TO?

Lavinia is the size of an heirloom tomato.

She is approximately 6 inches long and weighs about 8.5 ounces.

She is developing a protective coating over her skin (vernix caseosa) and her five senses are fine tuning as her nerve cells mature!

WEIGHT GAINED

Haven’t weighed myself since my appointment 2 weeks ago.

WORKOUTS

The past two weeks of workout were a little all over the place. The first I was home/in NYC for 4 days and after getting my runs in there wasn’t much time left for weight lifting. This week I really focused on increasing the length of my runs and adding in two running workouts so again the weight lifting fell by the wayside. It felt great to get in some high quality runs + a “long” run for the first time in a few weeks. Although I have plans to get back in the gym this week. You can read my full training summary here.

SYMPTOMS

A little bit of lower back pain,

MOVEMENT

I’m not 100% sure but I think I felt her move for the first time this week and have been feeling her since. At first I was quick to dismiss that that was in fact what I was feeling because it felt a bit like gas bubbles but when not gas followed and it started happening regularly when I settled in to watch TV at night I was a little more convinced. So for now I’ll say I’m 95% sure that I felt her move. πŸ™‚

FOOD AVERSIONS & CRAVINGS

The aversions have died town and I’ve never really had consistent cravings but this week my cravings have included raspberries, popcorn, bagel with cream cheese and pasta!

SLEEP

Sleep this week was actually great! I think that is mostly due to being overly tired after my trip home but I’ve slept through the night most nights this week. πŸ™‚

MATERNITY CLOTHES

I have one pair of maternity leggings and a couple of tank tops but wear workout clothes most days. I have my first maternity Stitch Fix coming this week and I’m really looking forward to it!

STRETCH MARKS

Nope! I’ve been really good about exfoliating and moisturizing with my belly oil

MISS ANYTHING?

Nothing too much. πŸ™‚

BELLY BUTTON IN OR OUT?

I think it’s safe to say that it has officially popped out! It cracks me up every time I look down and see it poking through my shirt!

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED

I’ve been having so much fun dreaming of/planning Lavinia’s nursery and this weekend I made our first official purchase for her room. This temporary wallpaper stole my heart the second that I saw it and just HAD to get it for our little girl. Can’t wait to see it behind her crib!
