Baby Floris: Week 23

It seems like the baby bump reached basketball status overnight! Let’s take a look at what Lavinia has been up to this week. 🙂 

WHAT’S BABY FLORIS UP TO?

Lavinia is the size of a grapefruit!

She is approximately 11 inches long and weighs between 15-20 ounces. 

According to The Bump, she is forming little nipples, her face is fully formed (it just needs a little extra fat to fill it out) and she is constantly listening to my voice and heartbeat.

WEIGHT GAINED

I haven’t weighed myself since my appointment 2 weeks ago.

WORKOUTS

This past week was really good on the running front but I really slacked on lifting weights. My full training summary can be seen here.

SYMPTOMS

I’m still enjoying the “symptom-less” second trimester – really the only things that I’ve been experiencing a little lower back pain, evening heartburn and increased hunger!

MOVEMENT

Lavinia is a little squirmer!! I feel her most in the mornings when I wake up and when I’m relaxing at night but her movements are becoming more frequent during the day as well.

FOOD CRAVINGS & AVERSIONS 

I’m still not experiencing too many of either but recent cravings have been breakfast burritos, raspberries, oranges, iced coffee and fruit loops & aversions have been spicy and greasy foods.

SLEEP

I’ve been having trouble falling asleep this past week but luckily after I do finally fall asleep I sleep like a baby!! I am definitely thankful for a few weeks of no midnight bathroom wake-ups.

MATERNITY CLOTHES

All the time!!! I tried wearing non-maternity pants on Easter and while they did button at first they were much less comfortable after Easter brunch. 😉 

STRETCH MARKS

Still none really!

MISS ANYTHING?

Nothing! Everything I would miss (ie. coffee, cold cuts, running) I’ve been cleared to enjoy in moderation. 

BELLY BUTTON IN OR OUT?

I have such an outie now you can see it through every single outfit I wear!

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED

Nothing directly related to Lavinia but we officially booked our Babymoon in June. I am soooooo excited!

FAVORITE MOMENT OF THE WEEK

Celebrating Easter! I can’t believe that next year we’ll have a little girl to dress up in a cute Easter dress!

LOOKING FORWARD TO

Putting the finishing touches on Lavinia’s nursery. We got a lot of work done while Henri was home but there are just a few things I need to get done before I can “check the box”. 🙂
