My Favorite Spin Workout Right Now

I feel like my blogging mojo has come back with a vengeance this week. 4 posts in a row? Who am I?? haha

Monday and Tuesday Henri and I (but mostly Henri) worked to pack up all of our stuff for the move because his dad got in from California yesterday morning. It’s always a weird feeling seeing everything that you own packed up and in boxes.

The guys started their cross country drive back to CA yesterday after my father-in-law’s flight landed so first thing in the morning I took Finn out for a run to tire him out for the drive. Little guy couldn’t have been happier – I think he is a warm weather dog for sure… he was wayy too cooped up this winter.

When I talked to Henri on the phone yesterday he said that Finn had been sleeping most of the way so I think the run did the trick! 🙂

Even though I’m back running a little bit I’m still doing quite a bit of cycling to keep my training volume up. I know very little about cycling but when I’m injured and on the bike I like to simulate workouts that I would do if I were running. One of my all-time favorite workouts is the descending ladder – you start with a certain distance and each repeats gets shorter and faster. Recently I’ve been doing this workout on the bike once a week and it really does the trick – by the end my legs are always burning and I’m breathing hard!

I thought I should share with you guys… it’s a good one!!

Descending Ladder Spin Workout

Dog owners – do you run with your dog(s)? What kind of dog do you have?

If you do spin – do you have any tips to make the bike seat not hurt your bum? I struggle with this BIG TIME!
