Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Did you fall for any good April Fool’s jokes on Friday? The only one that I totally believed was these Oreo Toaster Strudel – I was soooo disappointed when I found out they weren’t real! 🙁

Other than being dupped on April Fool’s Day this weekend was pretty great. I was productive on both the school and home front but also got the chance to relax! After a Saturday full of FINALLY getting all of our boxes unpacked and put away and making progress on my nutrition project I sat down on the couch only to be tackled by Laci for some much needed snuggles.

On Sunday morning I headed down to Newport to spend the day with my SIL. We kicked the day off at Waffleholic Cafe and I got the Tutti Frutti. It was so so good and I swear there was a waffle somewhere underneath all that fruit!

Then we hit up the beach for a few hours. The weather wasn’t great but it was nice to lay out, chat and catch a few rays.

After a nice walk along the beach we worked up a bit of an appetite and headed to Yogurtland for a treat. It totally hit the spot but the rest of the day I only ate salty foods because I was sugared out from breakfast and yogurt! haha

When I got home I took the pups for a walk around the neighborhood and then crashed on the couch for a few episodes of Parenthood. Pretty good Sunday if you ask me. 🙂

Since I didn’t drop in yesterday here’s my training summary from last week!

Training Summary: 3/28/2016-4/3/2016

Monday: 4 mile hill workout with the girl’s track team [1.5 mile warm-up, 5x 200m hill repeats, 1.5 mile cool-down] 8:22 average pace 

Tuesday: 4 miles @ 7:35 pace  

Wednesday: [AM] 5 mile workout with the girl’s track team [1.3 mile warm-up, 2x 8 minute tempos (6:26 pace//6:47 pace), 1.3 mile cool-down) 7:15 average pace [PM] 90 minute walk 

Thursday: Rest Day 

Friday: 5 miles with the girl’s track team @ 7:55 pace

Saturday: 5 miles @ 7:42 pace

Sunday: Rest Day – 30 minute walk

TOTALS: 23 miles run
