Random Wednesday Thoughts

Happy Wednesday! It’s officially the last day of January, has this felt like the longest month ever to anyone else? Just me?

Anyways, today I wanted to share some random Wednesday thoughts to celebrate making it to the halfway point of the week and I haven’t done a fun post like this is awhile!

The past week I have been exhausted! The beginning of this season and returning to those 4:45am wake ups have been rough but the past two days I was reminded of why it can be so great to wake up before the sun…

1 – Yesterday we were greeted by this beautiful sunrise during the kids’ workout.

And today we got a great view of the Super Blue Blood Moon Eclipse at the beginning of practice. Just a few minutes before I took this picture it was a lot more red but it still looked pretty cool here I thought.

The other thing that’s been hard about starting up practice again is that I miss out on mornings with Lavinia. Thank goodness for modern technology and being able to video chat from work!

I have been super thankful for my mama friends recently… I don’t get to spend nearly as much time with them as I’d like since I work full time but have friends to talk to about motherhood and baby related topics is so helpful! And when we’re able to get together for playdates it’s the best!

For my fellow mamas I cannot encourage you more to MAKE MAMA FRIENDS! They are a lifesaver!

I don’t think I’ve given you any updates on our new dog, Copper, since I told you guys on New Year’s Day that we got him. He is doing really great! Laci and Lavinia love him and he is so sweet with both of them. Unfortunately, he is not the biggest fan of going on runs with Henri or I but we are slowly working with him on that skill. He’s still a puppy so I don’t want to push him too hard too soon. On another note, I’ve always heard about vizsla’s being referred to as velcro dogs but since we got Copper I’ve realized just how true that is… this was my situation last night trying to do my clam-shells. haha

The current reno project that Henri and his dad are working on is the kid’s restroom… it’s a small room and I want to spice it up a little with some fun tile! This is the one I 99% percent sure that I’ve settled on, but I don’t have the best design eye so if that’s your strong suit let me know what you think! I also like that it has some texture to it because it seems like that would help prevent little ones with wet feet from slipping and falling.

Lastly – don’t anyone have any fun plans for the Superbowl this weekend? I’m running a half marathon in the morning and we’re going out to brunch after that so by the time the game rolls around we’re going to be wiped. Henri requested we lay low and watch the game at home with just our little family. Sounds like a plan to me! 🙂 I’m still planning on making some yummy snacks to enjoy though because what Superbowl watching party is complete without snacks??

And now I’m off – gotta get in my 4x 2 mile workout before a staff meeting in a few hours! Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
