Runner’s World Festival!

It’s Friday! Wahooo!

My morning has been great so far! After sleeping in a little extra, getting in my morning run, making a really tasty smoothie bowl for breakfast, and picking up a cappuccino on the way into work I’m convinced that all Fridays should start off like this.photo 2 (30)In my bowl is 1 banana, frozen strawberries/blueberries/raspberries, plain Greek yogurt, almond milk, peanut butter, cinnamon and a little bit of honey all blended together. Topped it with a sprinkle of shredded coconut, sliced almonds and granola… so good!

Another reason why today is so great is that I can finally share some super duper exciting news with you guys!

Remember when I ran the Runner’s World Heartbreak Hill 10K back in June? Well, I had so much fun! It was a great race – well organized, clearly marked course, amazing expo, and they had a great assortment of speakers and events!  My only regret about my race was that I wasn’t able to participate in all the festivities going on that weekend because it was my sister’s graduation.photo 4 (16)As I was just re-reading my recap of the race I noticed that I mentioned that I would love to go to the original Runner’s World Half & Festival in Bethlehem, PA and guess what!

That day has come!

I was recently invited to be a part of Runner’s World’s Blogger Team for the event! I am still a little shocked that they are interested in me and my little blog but I am also beyond excited to participate. I mean, just check out the awesome line up of festivities they have planned for the weekend… (from the RW website)

Not to mention that you get to spend a beautiful fall weekend at the Runner’s World HEADQUARTERS! Nothing can beat that!

I took the plunge last night and signed up for the Hat Trick – 3 races over the course of 2 days (5K & 10K on Saturday and a half marathon on Sunday). I’m really looking forward to the challenge!
