Snow, Snow Go Away!

Snow, snow go away… I can’t stand another day {of treadmill running}!

Yesterday morning I had a 3x 2 mile workout on the schedule and as much as I would have preferred to run outside there was no way that was possible with 2-3 inches of snow still left on the streets! So the treadmill it was…

The goal pace for these was 5:53-5:58 and I ended the workout with 11:56 (5:58 pace), 11:51 (5:55 pace) and 11:44 (5:52 pace). I will admit that the redeeming quality of the treadmill is being able to purposefully negative split a workout. 10.5 miles at an average of 6:41 done by 7:30 am!

+ trying to get in some core but Finn was more interested in snuggles…

Every time Wednesday rolls around I’m always thankful for soup group! No rush to pack a lunch as I head out the door and something to warm up in the middle of the day – always welcome in the middle of a cold, snowy winter week. Yesterday my boss made Italian Sausage and Tortellini… so good!

I managed to drag Henri off to the gym after work and parking was a little difficult with the giant mounds of snow everywhere! This picture doesn’t do it any justice… that pile was at least 15 feet tall!photo 2 (10)45 minutes of strength/balance exercises to finish off my second hardest day of training this week! Two easy runs and a long run-tempo stand in the way of me and my next rest day… bring. it. on. πŸ˜€

And a blurry picture of the pups running through snow tunnels taller than me because it makes me laugh! πŸ˜€

See you tomorrow – after I’ve hopefully gotten in my first outdoor run of the week.

What is the hardest workout you’ve ever done on the treadmill?

If you’re in New England (or somewhere that gets a lot of snow) do your dogs like playing in the snow??

What is the best movie you’ve seen recently? Henri and I are trying to figure out which one to see this weekend!
