Thanksgiving Week in California!!!

Happy Thanksgiving-week hump day from
sunny, warm California!

Henri and I flew out late Sunday to spend Thanksgiving with the in-laws. It was a little last minute but after hearing the weather forecast for Boston this morning I’m so thankful that we’re going to have an 80 degree day rather than a snowy nor’easter!!

Yesterday morning I was up bright and early for an easy 8 miler with a few short strides thrown in for good measure. I’m totally going to soak up this last week of shorts/t-shirts running weather before it’s back to the freezing cold!

Last night Henri and I met up with my running buddy Paige and her husband for dinner at Cafe Rio. I was so hungry and excited to see them for the first in foreva that I was a really bad blogger and didn’t take a picture of my barbacoa salad. Luckily, I’ve had this exact meal many times so here’s a recycled photo for ya!

Not much else to report on from these parts except Thanksgiving day prep. I’m incapable of not contributing to holiday meals and usually end of making desserts so I’ve been on the look out for fun pie recipes I could make this year. I’m not a fan of most traditional pies like apple and pumpkin (but you HAVE to have those) so when I saw this chocolate mousse pie I knew it had to be added to the mix!!! How good does that look???

Well, Henri and I are off for a trail run! Hope the rest of your day is spectacular!

Where are you celebrating Thanksgiving this year?

What is your favorite kind of pie?
