The Month in Review – July 2014

Wow! What a whirlwind trip! I feel like so much has happened in the last 24 hours that I don’t even know where to begin talking about it. I need to collect my thoughts (and pictures) so I will have a recap of our quick NYC trip up tomorrow. For now lets take a look back at the month of July!

I LOVE looking back at the end of the month to see everything that happened in the previous 30/31 days, when I don’t take the time to do this the days/weeks/months/years seem to fly! For the past few months I have stuck with the “A Look Back & A Glance Forward” posts that I’ve always done while toying with the idea of switching it up a little bit. Eventually I would like to have a list of things that perfectly summarize the last month but for now I’ll be tweaking these categories in the hopes of settling on a consistent monthly recap!

July Miles: 93

July Races: 0

Favorite Run: It’s a toss up between last weekend’s long run with my MA running buddy or my first practice with NB Boston on Tuesday!

Newest Obsession: My new Erin Condren planner! I decided to treat myself and spent a little of my extra money from coaching on an awesome new planner. It arrived in the mail while we were in NYC yesterday and I’m already OBSESSED! I used one of my favorite photos from our shoot back in January and I’m really happy with how it came out!photo (13)

Tastiest Thing I Ate: The carbonara that I got for my birthday dinner was really tasty! The flavor of the sauce was amazing and I could definitely tell that the noodles were homemade because they were perfectly tender and tasted really fresh! Homemade pasta will always have my heart!
Pasta Carbonara. Best New Recipe: The Lemon Curd Gelato Pie that I made for my birthday! I wish it didn’t take so long to make or I would eat it every.single.day!photo 1 (39)

Favorite Post to Write: When I got to share my big news with you guys!

Most Read Post: This post about my shift in training focus!

Favorite Post to Read: Not Running for A-Win’s post about distraction and how sometimes life is more important than running

Looking Forward To [In August]: More NB Boston practices, starting my coaching job at MIT and getting to know my new teammates and athletes better!
