Weekend Recap & Training Summary: 3/7/2016-3/13/2016

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend.

Mine was the BEST I’ve had in a long time… mostly because this guy came home!!!

Ever since his flight landed late Thursday night we’ve been go-go-go. The highlight of the past three days was by far our midwife appointment and ultrasound on Friday afternoon. Everything is looking good with Lavinia, she’s growing right on track and is 13 ounces. She’ll be 1 whole pound before we know it!

After our appointments we headed to one of our favorite restaurants, LUCCA Cafe, for lunch. Henri got the Mahi Mahi wrap and I went with the Butternut Squash Ravioli. It was delicious and just the thing before we headed out to a wet and stormy track meet (that ended up getting cancelled).

Saturday morning Henri ran errands to prep for his next job and I had the make-up track meet to attend. The weather was much more agreeable than Friday afternoon!

That night we tried out a new (to us) Italian restaurant – I got the Farfalle with Vodka Sauce. YUM!

And for dessert we shared the Tiramisu! One of my favorite desserts. 🙂

It was a good thing that we skipped out on the movie that we had planned on because this was the sight on our couch by 9 o’clock that night. haha

Sunday was filled with pancakes for breakfast, our birth class, and a hike and dinner with Henri’s family. It was the perfect day to end a perfect weekend. 🙂

On the training front this week was quite interesting – to say the least. I got in some great runs and a killer speed workout but then there were a few days that running just felt like the absolute last thing that I wanted to do…. pregnancy is weird folks.

On days that I don’t feel like running I always make sure to still do something active because staying it’s the best thing for me and baby!
