Training Summary: 6/22/2015-6/28/2015

Hello there! I hope you’ve had a great weekend and aren’t too sad that Sunday is almost over. This week’s training summary is coming at you a little late cause Henri and I just got home from our anniversary trip to Palm Springs!

We had a great time – lots of relaxing, pool time and good food! It was realllly hot though (like 110* with high humidity hot) so both my weekend runs happened on the treadmill. Considering my crazy travel schedule I’m really happy with the two workouts and the long run that I was able to fit in this week.

Training Summary: 6/22/2015-6/28/2015

Monday: 9 miles @ 7:54 pace + 12 drills & 6x 100m strides)

Tuesday: 7 miles @ 7:45 pace

Wednesday: 7.5 mile workout (2 mile warm-up, 2x 800m [2:37, 2:36], 4x 400m [75, 75, 74, 74], 4x 200m [36, 36, 36, 34], 1.5 mile cool-down) 7:04 average pace

Thursday: rest/travel day home from NYC

Friday: 8.5 miles @ 7:– pace (including 6x 100m strides) + 15 mins core work

Saturday: 7 mile workout {TM} (1.5 mile warm-up, 4 mile progression run @ 6:22, 6:15, 6:07, 5:56, 1.5 mile cool-down) 6:53 average pace + quick arm circuit [2x 20 bicep curls, 20 tricep extensions, 20 shoulder-Ts, 1 min running arms]

Sunday: 11 mile long run {TM} @ 7:29 pace + 15 mins core work

Total Miles: 50.29 * Total Time Spent Running: 6 hours 13 minutes * Average Pace: 7:25
