Changes & Training Summary – 8/25-8/31/2014

Hello!!!

Welcome to the new face of Will Run for Boston – now The Foodie Runner! I am so excited for this change and hope that you are too!

A quick explanation of the name change – when I first started blogging last October the number one thing on my mind was training for the Boston Marathon and someday moving back to New England from California – hence the name I began with “Will Run for Boston”. Both of those things came to fruition in March/April of this year and after that the name started to feel a little bit like an old snake skin that didn’t quite fit right any more. I was over marathon training and going back to the 5K and somehow over the past few months I’ve started to feel more like a California girl living in Boston than a New Englander that had returned home. (<- strange but true).

I wanted a name that would be able to withstand the test of time – a name that didn’t revolve around the race I was training for and wasn’t affected by where I lived (or dreamed of living). And thus after some brainstorming The Foodie Runner was born.

The plan is to feature more recipes and restaurant reviews on the blog – as well as share more (non-running) workouts and I am really looking forward to getting all the ideas that I have in my head down on paper keyboard.

I’m excited for you to come along for the journey! 😀

Well, Henri and I are off to go mini-golfing and enjoy some much needed ice cream on this hot and humid day.

HAPPY LABOR DAY!
