Happy International Women’s Day

Happy International Women’s Day!

On this day meant to celebrate the incredible women that we know… I wanted to take a second to say how thankful I am for the tribe of women that have surrounded me for my entire life. I grew up in a family of strong women and men who supported women to be strong and independent. I’ve never once been made to feel like I can’t do something because I’m a women and for that I feel so lucky!

My mom, sisters, grandmothers, cousins, aunts, friends, etc. have all done incredible things and they inspire me every day to work hard and live a life I love. I wouldn’t be the woman that I am today without the influence of all the wonderful women in my life.

When I became a mom I realized just how influential my female friends and family have been to me. I am so thankful for all the things they have taught me and the ways they have made me a better mom! There has never been as important a time in my life to have strong female bonds than it has been the past 19 months of motherhood.

It makes me so proud that my daughter, like me, will grow up surrounded by a tribe of smart, strong, capable, Godly women who love on her and pour into her life. It makes my heart so happy that Liv will know from the earliest age all of the incredible things that women can do because of the example of all the women that have come before her. She will know that she could be a nurse, a doctor, an accountant, a mom, a teacher, a social worker, a coach, a wife, a friend, a lawyer… etc. And I feel so blessed to have been entrusted with the task of raising a strong, independent, kind, smart, capable woman.

“Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.”

So thank you! To all the women in my life… I hope I have been able to pour into your lives even a fraction of what you have poured into mine!
