Rapid Reboot Recovery: Product Review

I’ve had my pair of Rapid Reboot Recovery Boots for almost 2 months now and they’ve been a game changer in my postpartum running journey. Today I’m sharing my review of the system and how they’ve been helpful in my training so far. 

WHAT DO THEY DO?

Rapid Reboot Compression boots use compression technology to increase blood flow which speeds up your body’s natural recovery process. They can be used after hard workouts and long runs (or any run really) to help reduce swelling, soreness, stiffness and that overall heavy legged feeling that heavy training can cause.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT RAPID REBOOT

I’ve used a few different brands of compression boots over the years and what really makes Rapid Reboot stand out to me are all of the customization options. There two different compression pattern options to choose from, you can select which of the 4 chambers you want “on” and “off” and there are 10 different pressure settings so that you can select the compression intensity that is best for you.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The first thing I thought when my Rapid Reboot System was delivered was that it had to be a different package because it was so small, but NOPE it was the boots! When I then opened the system I was excited to see that it was only two pieces, the battery pack and the boots. This makes it really simple to set up.

The first time I used the system I was really intrigued by all of the different options and tested out a few different pressure options and the two different compression cycles. I immediately liked having the ability to customize the pattern exactly how I liked/wanted it to be.

HOW I’VE BEEN USING MY RAPID REBOOT SYSTEM

I’ve been using my Rapid Reboot boots about 2-3 times per week. I typically use them at the end of the day for 30 minutes on the days that I’ve run a hard workout or a long run. I’ve found that using the boots on a regular basis really has aided in my recovery. My legs always feel much more refreshed/recovered on the days following when I use the boots and I credit them with enabling me to increase my mileage and intensity to the level they’re at now at just 3 months postpartum.

Henri has also been using the boots after his soccer games and on the days that he’s done a lot of yard work and he’s noticed a big difference in how he feels the next day as well.

FAVORITE FEATURES

  • You can choose from a 10, 20 or 30 minute cycle. I usually go for the 30 minute cycle but it’s nice that even when I’m crunched for time I can hop in for 10 minutes and still get the benefits of the compression.
  • It’s light and easy to transport/travel with. As surprised as I was at how compact the system arrived in the mail I’m even more impressed that it’s really easy to get it back in it’s carrying case. I’ll be traveling for a lot of my goal races in the coming year and I’m so excited that I’ll be able to bring my Rapid Reboot with me so that I’m feeling my best after travel and before race day!
  • It’s quiet! There have been a few times that I’ve used it at night while Henri and I watched TV and he’s asked me “are you going to turn it on or just sit there with the boots on?” when the cycle has just finished and when I respond that I just ran it his response is “oh, I didn’t even hear it!”.
