Training Summary: 10/27/2014-11/2/2014

Confession: I totally forgot about Daylight Saving Time until I woke up this morning. I feel like I missed out on one of my favorite holidays! 🙁 Bummer! 

This week of training was still relatively laid back/recovery running. My maintenance runs are still pretty short and slow (for me) but I did get in my first workout since Chicago and it felt pretty good!

Even though I’m running a 5K on Thanksgiving the next race I’m really setting my sights on is the half marathon that I’m doing in December. I’m really looking forward to getting back into training mode and hopefully running a half PR in 5 weeks!

Monday – 6 miles @ 7:38 pace

Tuesday – 7 miles @ 7:39 pace 

Wednesday – 8 mile workout [2 mile warm-up, 5 mile progressive tempo @ 6:21 average (splits: 6:43, 6:30, 6:18, 6:10, 6:08), 1 mile cool-down] 6:57 average pace

Thursday – 7 miles @ 7:23 pace

Friday – 7 miles @ 7:24

Saturday – 13.24 mile long run @ 7:24 pace

Sunday – This morning Henri and I are watching Man City in the Manchester Derby so the plan is for a 4 mile trail run TOGETHER  this afternoon!photo 3 (60)
