Training Summary: 2/26/2018-3/4/2018

Happy Sunday Friends!

The weekend is drawing to a close and it couldn’t have gone by faster. We’ve had an equally productive and lazy weekend over here and we’re excited to finish it off with some popcorn and Oscars viewing tonight – although we probably won’t make it all the way through because it’s not exactly the most thrilling of television shows. I hope your weekend was just as refreshing and that you are feeling ready to jump into a new week tomorrow.

Here’s my training summary from this past week. Next Saturday is my first track race of the season and I couldn’t be more excited!! 

Training Summary: 2/26/2018-3/4/2018

Monday – 8 miles @ 7:43 pace + 30 minutes core/strength session

Tuesday – AM: 11 mile workout on the treadmill [2 mile warm-up, 4x 10 minutes @ 5:40, 5:39, 5:39, 5:39 w/ 3 minutes jogging recovery, 1 mile cool-down]
PM: mini-band exercises

Wednesday – AM: 8 miles @ 7:56 pace
PM: 4 miles @ 8:00 pace +mini-band exercises

Thursday – 8 miles @ 7:44 pace + 30 minutes core/strength session

Friday – 9 mile track workout [3 mile warm-up, 12x 400m w/ 1 minute rest (splits = 74/76/75/74/73/76/74/75/75/75/75/75), 3 mile cool-down] 
+ 45 minutes Normatec // chiropractor visit

Saturday – 9 miles @ 7:55 pace

Sunday – 16 miles @ 7:57 pace 
PM: mini-band exercises

Total Miles: 73 miles
